my world

at any given time the emotions of my world change from one of determination, dominance to one of helplessness, and a feeling of disappointment. sometimes these feelings get the better of me, like today, i got up in the best of moods, only to be hit with the reality that i too am open to the shock of my environment around me. just once i would love to be immune to the bitterness, sadness and hopelessness that is creeping into our global society.
my world, once belonging only to me, has seen the arrival of many illegal aliens, but they have found refuge, citizenship, maybe becuz i gave them help, maybe becuz they see some hope in me but at the same time that i am giving them all this, they are taking mine away from me replacing it with their sense of distress, turmoil and other negative things.
i didnt ask for this exchange, however i made the trade anyway, can someone tell me how to get my world back.

the pastor and de donkey

The pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again. The local paper read: PASTOR'S ASS OUT FRONT.

The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race. The next day the local paper headline read: BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ASS.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey. The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent. The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day: NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.

The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer
for $10. The next day the paper read: NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the headlines read: NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE.

The bishop was buried the next day...

Moral of the story is... being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery... and even shorten your life. So be yourself and enjoy life... you'll be a lot happier and live longer.

dealing with death

yesterday, my family laid to rest its oldest member, my great grandmother, Olive Dumas. She was 94 with a lifetime of knowledge. Up to the time of her death she was still singing praises and reading her bible, something that i myself dont do enough of.
so she was laid to rest by her four children out of seven (3 already dead), her thirty four grandchildren, 67 greatgrand and many others.
so there lies most of our family history, family tales, stories, most of which we didnt capture during her life but last night we found ourselves chatting about past events, family history and it felt strange to see the many generations all gathered with smiles, laughter, reminiscing about a life that touched us all in some way or the other. thanx Ma Miss Bee, as she was affectionately called. thanx for everything.
If you're listening, know that we love you and you will be missed, even if at times we didnt show it to you in the best possible way.

Romania and I
Related to country: Romania

Just came back from a meeting of the International Council of Youth Organizations of the Francophony (CIJEF). It was really interesting to socialize with young persons from all over the world and to share ideas and work towards a common goal.
